Help identifying an old 12 string guitar

Congratulations! I'm on the lookout for one of those, but it just doesn't happen. (where are you located btw?)
I can't decipher the handwritten model number of this late 1965 guitar from the photo for sure. What does it read?
It looks a bit as if there's no parallel grain in the wood? This would indicate a maple top, quite unusual.
Would be interested to know how the top behaves once it's strung up, i.e. the action.
