I bought this guitar on flohmarkt in Hannover. I think this is Texan, but number of model is bad visible. Clear up my doubts, please.

If I had magic mod's powers, I'd pin this on.

- as a guide for people what to do to get their identification done easier.

Now we see a date stamp of '73, the Letter still seems unclear, a "B" or "D" (who cares?)

- to ask someone to verify colour codes (the last digits of the model Nr.), as I can't be bothered.

Yes, the 53... series indicates a Texan ...01 should stand for sunburst then.

Yeah, it also fills me with awe when I'm thinking that I'm playing with an instrument that is much older than me but still sounding so great!
But this is nothing special compared to violins. Stradivarius built his greatest instruments about 350 years ago, and they are still the greatest violins ever built...
