Hello Louis,
now is the time to buy an old European Archtop. The prices are still rising, (off course I can't speak for the next 15 years, which is when your child can make good use of it, as it must be a big guitar)
it is a pickup-plate for electrifying the instrument (Mischpult or Reglerplatte in German) Made around 1960. the selector lever can be ordered at Framus vintage, repro or even NOS!
the little part is more of a souvenir. a primitive vibrato device which is used to press on the strings behind the saddle (which was made of plastic in this unit, is gone and that's not bad) -
It is made by Schaller in the 60ies. Was used on Archtop guitars. Sounds good. Has to be installes correctly to prevent the guitar. 4 screws to the neck, a small support to the bridge 2 brackets to the body.Kommentar
