Hello, I have a Framus fret Jet semi acoustic guitar but sadly without the tremolo assembly of the tailpiece though still with the end plate on to which the string holder/ tremolo attaches. This is a 4 screws mounting plate that attaches to the frame of the guitar near to the rear strap button.
It seems very difficult to get this part so I wish to replace the end piece with another standard string holder tailpiece. The unit I have uses 4 screws to hold it in place. Will a Missouri tailpiece screw into these screw holes without re drilling? Or a Hollywood long tailpiece?
Off the shelf replacements are mostly based on the Gibson ES 335 standard 3 screws mounting plate meaning that I would have to re-drill and probably have to move the strap button which I hope to avoid.
